Himachal Couple Tour Packages 2026 – Follow the Trails Where Love Meets the Mountains

There is a specific kind of silence that only couples who have stood at Kufri at 6:47 AM will understand — the deodar trees still dripping last night’s frost, the valley below wrapped in a blanket you can actually see moving, and just the two of you, holding hands through wool gloves, watching the first light hit the Shivalik range. This is what Himachal does to couples. It slows everything down. It takes two people who have spent months texting across cities and places them on a pine-scented ridge where the only notification that matters is the sound of the wind. Whether you are newlyweds stepping onto the Kalka–Shimla toy train for the first time, or a couple marking ten years with a bonfire in Jibhi, Himachal writes memories into you the way no beach or metro city ever could.

At HimTrails, we have spent 5+ years handcrafting Himachal couple tour packages that go beyond the usual Shimla–Manali checklist everyone else sells. We plan couple trails that actually feel private — the old Naggar ridge walk above Manali where the apple orchards open up to a full Pir Panjal view, the riverside cottages in Tirthan where the only sound at night is the Tirthan river, the cedar-lined Dhauladhar viewpoints above McLeodganj that most Delhi tour operators have never heard of. Because we live here, in Shimla, we know which Himachal trails empty out after 4 PM, which café has the one corner table with the mountain view, and which driver will take the scenic Jalori Pass route instead of the boring highway.

Whether you are planning a honeymoon, a quiet anniversary escape, a pre-wedding trip, or your first proper holiday as a couple — whether your budget is ₹12,999 per person or ₹40,000 per person — we build Himachal couple tour packages that fit the way you two actually travel. Some couples want Rohtang snow and adventure trails. Others want a candlelit balcony and nothing else. Both are valid. Both are possible. And both start the same way — a 5-minute conversation with us. Every trail has a story. Yours starts here.

Browse our Himachal couple tour packages below, pick the one that feels right, and WhatsApp us to confirm — most couple bookings are locked in under 10 minutes.

Our Himachal Tour Packages for Couple 2026 – Every Couple, Every Trail

No two couples travel the same way. One couple’s “perfect honeymoon” is six hours on a snowmobile at Solang followed by hot maggi at 3,000 metres. Another couple’s “perfect honeymoon” is a fireplace, a bottle of Himachali plum wine, and not leaving the room. We have built Himachal couple tour packages for both — and everything in between. Every package on this page is fully customisable. Every day can be swapped, extended, or replaced entirely. Think of these as starting points, not rulebooks.

What makes our couple trails different is that we build them from the destination backwards, not from a template forwards. If you tell us you want snow, we will not send you to Shimla in April. If you tell us you want privacy, we will not book you into a Mall Road hotel. Everything you see below is the output of five years of actually listening to couples, driving these roads ourselves, and fixing what the big portals keep getting wrong.

Why Himachal? Because Some Trails Are Just Meant to Be Walked Together

Himachal Pradesh runs from 350 metres in Una to 6,816 metres at Reo Purgyil, which means in one single state you can go from apple-orchard valleys to glacier-fed lakes to cold-desert monasteries — and every one of those altitudes hides a different kind of couple trail. The Shimla–Kufri belt sits at a romantic 2,200–2,700 metres where mornings smell of pine resin and evenings glow under colonial-era street lamps. Manali and Solang sit at 2,050–3,200 metres, where February snow turns the whole valley into a honeymoon postcard. Kasol and Tirthan drop back to around 1,600–1,900 metres, where the Parvati and Tirthan rivers create those cold, clean riverside trails couples never stop photographing. One state. Ten kinds of romance. All on our Himalayan trails.

The real magic of Himachal, though, is how it changes character with the season. Winter (December to February) turns Manali, Narkanda, and Kufri into proper snow trails — ideal for couples who want that classic “snow in the honeymoon photos” story. Spring (March to April) is apple-blossom season across the orchard trails of Kotgarh, Thanedar, and Kinnaur — one of the most underrated romantic windows in all of India. Summer (May to June) is when Shimla’s Ridge, the Dharamshala tea estates, and the Spiti high-altitude trails open up to their greenest, clearest, most photogenic versions. Monsoon is reserved for indoor wine-and-fireplace couple weekends in Kasauli, Chail, and Mashobra. And autumn (October–November) is when Himachal becomes a painting — golden deodars, clear blue skies, and empty scenic trails that feel like they are yours alone.

Himachal is not one destination. It is eleven different moods, all stitched together by the same mountain range. Which is why there is no single “best” Himachal couple trip — only the right one for your two people. Adventure-seeking couples get the Hampta Pass, Chandratal, and Bhrigu Lake adventure trails. Quiet couples get the Naldehra pine trails and the Gushaini river trails. Luxury couples get the Wildflower Hall ridge trails and the Oberoi Cecil heritage trails. And first-time travellers get the classic Shimla–Manali circuit that has been making couples fall in love for seventy-five years.

These Himalayan trails remind you of something simple — that slowing down together is its own kind of adventure.

So the question was never really whether to visit Himachal as a couple — it was always how to do it properly. And that’s exactly where HimTrails comes in. Below are our hand-built Himachal couple tour packages for 2026, each one designed for a specific kind of couple and a specific kind of trail. Find yours.

🌸 Himachal Honeymoon Packages

Our honeymoon trails are the most popular couple packages we run — and also the most personalised. A typical honeymoon itinerary runs 5 to 7 nights, starting in Shimla or Chandigarh and moving through Kufri, Manali, Solang, and Sissu. You get candlelit dinners at hotels with full valley views, private cab transfers (never shared), flower decoration on arrival, a cake on the first night, and a handpicked room category with mountain-facing windows. Honeymoon trails starting from ₹18,999 per person.

💑 Shimla Manali Couple Tour Packages

This is the classic — and for good reason. The Shimla–Manali couple trail covers the two most photogenic hill stations in Himachal, connected by one of the country’s most scenic road trails via Kullu, Pandoh, and Hanogi Mata. Expect Ridge walks in Shimla, toy train rides from Kalka, snow activities at Solang, a Rohtang/Atal Tunnel day trip, and an afternoon at Hadimba Temple where the deodar trees are older than most Indian cities. 4N/5D packages start at ₹13,499 per person.

🏔 Offbeat Himachal Couple Tour Packages

For couples who find Mall Road too crowded and Solang too commercial, we run offbeat couple trails through Jibhi, Tirthan Valley, Shoja, Chitkul, Kalpa, and Sangla. These are quiet river trails, forest trails, and orchard trails where your entire day might involve one 3-hour drive, one riverside lunch, and one long walk in silence. No crowds. No Instagram queues. Just the two of you, the mountain, and a notebook you will actually fill. Offbeat packages start at ₹14,999 per person.

💎 Luxury Himachal Couple Tour Packages

Our luxury couple trails stay at properties like Wildflower Hall (Mashobra), The Himalayan Resort (Manali), Oberoi Cecil (Shimla), and similar 5-star mountain retreats with spa, fireplace suites, and private butler service. You get luxury sedan transfers, gourmet in-room dining, couple spa experiences, and custom experiences like a private sunrise breakfast at a ridge viewpoint. Luxury trails start at ₹32,999 per person.

💰 Budget Himachal Couple Tour Packages

Romance does not need a five-star bill. Our budget couple packages use handpicked 3-star properties, shared Volvo transfers from Delhi, and smart itineraries that cover Shimla, Manali, and Kasol in 4–5 days without compromising on comfort or safety. Every hotel is personally verified. Every driver is known to us. Budget packages start at ₹12,999 per person — and yes, that is real, not a clickbait price.

🚌 Himachal Honeymoon Tour Packages from Delhi by Volvo

For couples flying or training into Delhi, we run Volvo-based couple circuits that depart from Majnu Ka Tila every evening and reach Manali/Shimla by early morning. These Himachal couple trails are ideal for shorter 3–4 night trips and keep total costs low without sacrificing the key experiences. Volvo packages from Delhi start at ₹13,499 per person, both ways included.

Best Places to Visit in Himachal as a Couple – A Trail-by-Trail Guide

Building a good Himachal couple tour package starts with choosing the right destinations — and Himachal has too many of them. Most Delhi-based tour operators default to “Shimla–Manali–Rohtang” because it’s the only circuit they actually know. But Himachal has seven or eight couple trails that are every bit as romantic, a lot less crowded, and usually cheaper. Getting the destination mix right is the single biggest factor in whether your Himachal couple trip feels magical or mediocre. Here are the places we keep sending couples to, year after year, because the feedback is consistently the same — we didn’t want to come back.

Shimla — The Colonial Heritage Trail

Shimla sits at 2,205 metres in the Lower Himalayan range and was the summer capital of British India from 1864 to 1939 — and every single Mall Road lamp-post still looks the part. The Ridge, Christ Church, the Viceregal Lodge, Scandal Point, and the narrow Lower Bazaar lanes create a heritage trail you can walk hand-in-hand for three full days without repeating a step. Shimla is a 7-hour drive from Chandigarh via the 110-km NH-5, and the Kalka–Shimla toy train (a UNESCO World Heritage route) is one of the most romantic rail trails in Asia.

Shimla‘s best couple moment is not the Mall — it is the walk to Jakhoo Temple at sunrise, when the 108-foot Hanuman statue glows orange and the entire Shivalik range opens up below. Pair that with an afternoon at Viceregal Lodge, an evening at Café Sol, and a morning toy train ride to Kufri — and you have one of the most complete heritage trails in India. In winter (Dec–Feb), Shimla gets genuine snowfall — one of the few Indian cities where you can watch snow settle on a church spire.

Manali — The Snow-Kissed Romance Trail

Manali sits at 2,050 metres at the head of the Kullu valley, split by the Manalsu river into Old Manali (cafés, Israeli food, riverside stays) and New Manali (hotels, markets, Mall Road). For couples, Manali is almost unfairly photogenic — Hadimba Temple’s 500-year-old cedar forest, the snow trails at Solang Valley 13 km away, the apple orchards of Naggar 20 km south, and the Atal Tunnel which now puts Sissu and Keylong on the Lahaul side within a 3-hour round trip from your hotel.

Manali is at its peak couple-form from December to March for the snow trails, and again from April to June for the clear-weather adventure trails. Honeymooning couples typically spend 3 nights here — one day for Solang and Atal Tunnel, one day for Naggar and Manikaran, and one day for the Old Manali café trail that ends at Johnson’s Café with a bottle of wine and a Himalayan peak directly outside the window.

Kasol & Tosh — The Riverside Café Trail

Kasol sits at 1,640 metres along the Parvati river and is 35 km from Bhuntar airport, which makes it one of the easiest offbeat couple destinations to reach. The village has earned its nickname “Mini Israel” honestly — the riverside café trail from Kasol to Chalal to Manikaran is lined with wood-fired bakeries, trout restaurants, and bookshops that stay open till midnight. Tosh, 20 km further up at 2,400 metres, is the high-altitude cousin — smaller, quieter, and with full Pin Parvati range views from every balcony.

For couples who love slow food and river trails, Kasol is one of the most underrated romantic bases in Himachal. A typical couple day here involves breakfast by the river, a walk through Chalal’s deodar forest, a lazy lunch at Evergreen Café, and an evening at Manikaran’s hot springs and gurudwara. In winter, Tosh gets heavy snow and becomes a proper snow trail village — a completely different experience to the classic Manali snow packages.

Dharamshala & McLeodganj — The Mountain Monastery Trail

Dharamshala sits at the foot of the 4,500-metre Dhauladhar range, and McLeodganj — 9 km above at 2,082 metres — is where the Dalai Lama has lived since 1959. For couples, this is the cultural trails capital of Himachal — Tibetan monasteries, Japanese-style temples, a vibrant café scene, and a 4.8-km Dal Lake loop walk that is one of the most peaceful couple trails in the state.

The real highlight is the Triund trek — a 9-km moderate trail that starts in McLeodganj and ends at a 2,875-metre ridge with full Dhauladhar views. Hundreds of couples attempt it every year and almost none regret it. April, May, and October are the sweet spot — clear skies, no monsoon, and nights cold enough for a bonfire. Dharamshala also connects to Bir Billing (the paragliding capital of India) 70 km away, where couples can fly tandem over the Kangra valley for one of the most memorable shared experiences in the Himalayan trails.

Dalhousie & Khajjiar — The Mini-Switzerland Trail

Dalhousie sits at 1,970 metres in the Chamba district and was built by the British in 1854 as a sanatorium — which is why it has one of the most peaceful, pine-covered colonial trails in all of Himachal. Khajjiar, 22 km away at 1,951 metres, is a 1-km round saucer-shaped meadow ringed by deodar forest — officially called “Mini Switzerland of India” by the Swiss embassy in 1992.

For couples who are tired of the crowds of Shimla and Manali but still want a classic hill station, Dalhousie is the answer. Add Khajjiar for an afternoon horse ride and picnic, extend to Chamba for the Minjar heritage trails, and you have a 4-night trip that almost no Indian tour operator bothers to sell properly. It is a 10-hour drive from Delhi via Pathankot, and our packages run it with an overnight Pathankot stop to keep the drive comfortable.

Jibhi, Tirthan & Shoja — The Hidden Forest Trail

This is where we send couples who tell us “we’ve already done Manali.” Jibhi (1,600 m), Tirthan (1,600 m) and Shoja (2,700 m) sit in the Banjar valley, about 50 km off the main Mandi–Manali highway, around the Great Himalayan National Park. The trails here are forest trails, river trails, and the Jalori Pass ridge trails — which at 3,120 metres offers one of the most underrated 360-degree Himalayan viewpoints in the state.

Tirthan Valley is a notified trout-fishing zone, and several couples come here specifically to spend three days doing nothing more ambitious than fishing, reading, and sitting next to the Tirthan river. Serolsar Lake (a 5-km trail from Jalori Pass) is a sacred alpine lake considered the cleanest in Himachal. Jibhi‘s waterfall trail and mini-Thailand point close out one of the most peaceful couple itineraries we build — usually 3–4 nights, fully off-grid, zero crowds.

Spiti Valley — The Offbeat Cold-Desert Couple Trail

For couples with an appetite for altitude and adventure, Spiti is the ultimate Himachal trail. Kaza sits at 3,800 metres, Komic is the highest motorable village in the world at 4,587 metres, and the Kunzum La pass at 4,551 metres is the gateway from Manali. Key Monastery clings to a cliff at 4,166 metres — the single most photographed monastery in India. Spiti is open for road access from roughly late May to early October via the Manali route, and year-round (though snow-risky) via Shimla–Kinnaur.

This is not a honeymoon destination for every couple — altitude sickness is real, phone network is limited to BSNL, and comfort is basic. But for couples who want a once-in-a-lifetime road trail, a 7-night Spiti circuit (Shimla → Sangla → Kalpa → Tabo → Kaza → Chandratal → Manali) is the closest thing India has to a Ladakh experience without needing the Leh permits. We run it as a guided couple expedition with oxygen support, vetted stays in Kaza, and a driver who has done the route 50+ times.

Best Time to Visit Himachal for Couples – Matching Your Travel Style to the Right Season Trail

The “best time” depends entirely on what kind of couple trip you’re picturing. Snow on your honeymoon photos? December–February. Pink apple blossoms on your anniversary? Early April. Empty ridge trails and golden deodars? October. Himachal is a genuine year-round destination — but matching the season to your mood is what separates a good Himachal couple tour package from a forgettable one.

Season Months What to Expect Best Trail For
Winter
Dec – Feb
Heavy snow in Manali, Narkanda, Kufri. Shimla gets 3–4 snow spells. Daytime 4–8°C, nights -2 to -6°C.
Honeymoon snow trails, Solang skiing, Atal Tunnel + Sissu snow day, cozy fireplace stays
Spring
Mar – Apr
Snow melts, apple blossoms across Kotgarh & Thanedar, rhododendrons bloom. Days 15–22°C, clear skies.
Orchard trails, early-season Kufri, Dharamshala Triund trek, Shimla heritage trails
Summer
May – Jun
Peak season. Spiti and Rohtang open. Days 22–28°C in Shimla/Manali, cooler at high altitude.
Spiti road trails, Hampta Pass trek, Manali adventure trails, Jibhi forest trails
Autumn
Sep – Nov
Monsoon ends by mid-Sep. Clearest mountain views of the year, empty roads, golden forests.
Photography honeymoons, offbeat Tirthan & Shoja, Chitkul & Kalpa, Dharamshala cafés

For first-time Himachal couples, we almost always recommend late September to mid-November or mid-February to late March. You get the best mountain visibility, manageable crowds, reasonable hotel rates, and weather that lets you actually enjoy the outdoor couple trails instead of hiding indoors from either heat or extreme cold. If you are set on snow, book for the second or third week of January — that is statistically the most reliable snowfall window in Manali and Narkanda.

Things to Do in Himachal as a Couple – Adventure Trails & Beyond

A Himachal couple trip is never just about the destinations — it is about what you do together inside them. Some of the best couple memories get made on a 40-minute paragliding flight, a 5-km ridge walk, or a riverside café afternoon that accidentally turns into six hours. Here is the shortlist we build our couple packages around.

Paragliding at Solang or Bir Billing

20–40 minute tandem flights, available March to June and September to November, altitude 2,400 m (Solang) and 2,600 m (Bir).

Snow activities at Solang Valley

Skiing, snowboarding, snow scooters, yak rides. Best window: January to mid-March.

Toy train ride from Kalka to Shimla

96 km, 5 hours, UNESCO World Heritage Route. Book the Shivalik Deluxe Express for couple travel.

Triund Trek from McLeodganj

9 km one-way, moderate grade, Dhauladhar views. Best April–June and September–November.

Hot springs at Manikaran or Vashisht

Natural sulphur hot water pools, gurudwara visit, year-round open.

River rafting on the Beas

14 km Pirdi to Jhiri stretch, grade 2–3, March to June, duration 1.5 hours.

Apple orchard walks in Kotgarh/Thanedar

Full blossom end-March to mid-April, harvest mid-August to mid-September.

Candlelit dinner at The Himalayan, Manali / Wildflower Hall, Mashobra

Pre-booking required, 3–5 day notice.

Spiti homestay experience in Komic or Langza

4,500+ m altitude, authentic Spitian food, only May to October.

Sunrise at Hatu Peak, Narkanda

3,400 m, 90-min drive from Narkanda town, one of the most underrated photo trails in Himachal.

Couple spa at Wildflower Hall / Himalayan Brothers

90–120 minute couple treatments, advance booking recommended.

Shikara ride on Renuka Lake / Rewalsar Lake

Quiet, uncrowded, romantic alternative to Dal Lake. 45-min ride.

Himachal has everything a couple trip needs — a snow trail for the Instagram post, a quiet forest trail for the anniversary, a heritage trail for the first-time visit, and an adventure trail for the couple who measures love in shared adrenaline. The only variable is who you go with. Planning a Himachal couple trip yourself means juggling eight different hotels, four different drivers, three different permits (Rohtang, Spiti Inner Line, Wildlife Sanctuary), and one very stressed WhatsApp thread. Planning it with HimTrails means one call, one team, and someone who has driven every road on this list at least a dozen times. Here’s why thousands of couples choose us every year.

How to Reach Himachal – Your Entry Trail to the Himalayas

Himachal is one of the best-connected mountain states in India, and getting here as a couple is easier than most first-time travellers assume. Your starting point decides which entry trail works best.

By Road

Most couple trips begin on the road. Delhi to Shimla is 343 km via NH-5 (Zirakpur–Panchkula–Solan), taking 7–8 hours. Delhi to Manali is 537 km via NH-3 (Chandigarh–Mandi–Kullu), taking 12–14 hours — most couples prefer the overnight Volvo from Majnu Ka Tila (departs 5–7 PM, reaches Manali 7–9 AM). For Dharamshala and Dalhousie, the approach is via Pathankot — 9–10 hours from Delhi via NH-44.

By Air

Himachal has three domestic airports — Shimla (Jubbarhatti), Kullu–Manali (Bhuntar), and Dharamshala (Gaggal). All three are served by limited daily flights from Delhi (Alliance Air, IndiGo) and are weather-dependent in winter. Chandigarh airport is often the smarter option — well-connected from every metro, 4 hours from Shimla, 9 hours from Manali, and zero cancellation risk.

By Train

There is no direct broad-gauge line into most of Himachal. The closest major railheads are Kalka (for Shimla — take the UNESCO toy train from here), Chandigarh (for Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala — cab transfer), and Pathankot (for Dalhousie, Dharamshala, McLeodganj). Kalka is connected by the Shatabdi from Delhi (4 hours), making it the smoothest couple entry for Shimla-first itineraries.

Whichever way you’re travelling — road, air, or train — HimTrails coordinates the full transfer trail from your starting point to your Himachal hotel. You don’t need to figure out the last mile. We’ve got it.

HimTrails – We Know These Himachal Trails Like No One Else

We live in Shimla. Our office sits 600 metres from the Ridge. On any given weekend, one of us is probably at the Jakhoo Temple steps at 6 AM, another is checking in on a couple we’ve sent to Manali, and a third is driving the Shimla–Narkanda–Sangla stretch to re-verify a homestay. This is not a corporate vacation business. This is our home, and every couple who books with us is coming into our neighbourhood — so we treat it that way. When we recommend the sunrise point at Hatu Peak, it’s because we were there last month. When we tell you to skip Kufri zoo and go to Mashobra instead, it’s because we have watched 500 couples come back with the same opinion.

That local knowledge shows up in small things and big things. We know which café in Jibhi has the fireplace table. We know that the Atal Tunnel adds 46 km but cuts the Rohtang wait by five hours. We know which Dalhousie property changed management last October and is now noticeably worse. We know the driver in Kaza who will take couples to Komic at sunrise instead of the standard mid-morning tourist slot. None of this is in any brochure. It is in our heads, and we hand it over to every couple we plan for — for free.

The Himachal trails are in our name. They’re in our blood. And they’re waiting for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of a Himachal couple tour package?

Our Himachal couple tour packages start from ₹12,999 per person on a 3N/4D basic itinerary, and go up to ₹40,000+ per person for luxury 7-night Spiti or Wildflower Hall trails. The most popular price point for couple trails is ₹18,000–₹25,000 per person for a well-balanced 5N/6D Shimla–Manali circuit with 3-star stays, private cab, and breakfast-dinner included. Pricing depends on season, hotel category, and duration. WhatsApp us for a custom quote — we’ll turn it around in under an hour.

What is the best time to visit Himachal for a couple trip?

For snow and honeymoon-style couple trails, book between late December and mid-March — Manali, Narkanda, and Solang are at their best. For clear mountain views and empty scenic trails, book September–November. For apple blossom orchard trails, late March to early April is unbeatable. May–June is peak season (expect crowds and higher prices), and monsoon (July–August) is lovely for indoor couple stays in Kasauli or Chail but unreliable for road trails.

How many days are enough for a Himachal couple trip?

4 nights / 5 days is the minimum we recommend for a meaningful Himachal couple trip — enough to cover one major destination properly without rushing. 6–7 nights is the sweet spot for most couples and lets you combine two destinations (Shimla + Manali, or Manali + Kasol) with breathing space on the mountain trails. 8+ nights only makes sense if you’re adding Spiti, Dharamshala, or Dalhousie to the itinerary.

Is Himachal safe for couples and solo female travellers?

Yes — Himachal is consistently one of the safest states in India for couples, women, and families. Crime rates are among the lowest in the country, locals are warm and helpful, and our drivers and hotels are all personally vetted by the HimTrails team. Couples are welcome everywhere — Mall Road walks at 10 PM in Shimla, riverside café trails in Kasol, and mountain homestays in Tirthan are all completely safe. We do recommend standard altitude precautions in Spiti and shared cab caution only on public transport routes.

What should couples pack for a Himachal trip?

For summer (May–June): light warm layers, a windproof jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable trail shoes, and a small daypack. For winter (Dec–Feb): a heavy down jacket, thermal innerwear, woollen socks, waterproof shoes, gloves, beanie, and moisturiser (the mountain air dries skin quickly). For monsoon: waterproof jacket, quick-dry clothes, and a torch. We send a detailed packing list with every confirmed couple package — customised to your exact destination and dates.

Can I customise my Himachal couple tour package?

Absolutely — and most couples do. Every package on this page is a starting point, not a fixed itinerary. You can swap destinations, add or drop nights, upgrade hotels, change the departure city, add adventure activities, or build a completely new itinerary from scratch. We build roughly 70% of our couple trips as customised packages, not standard ones. WhatsApp us your rough dates, budget, and what kind of couple trip you’re picturing — we’ll send a custom plan within 24 hours.

Volvo vs private cab for a Himachal couple trip — which is better?

For most couples, we recommend private cab for the in-Himachal portion (so you can stop anywhere, at any time, on the scenic trails) and Volvo only for the Delhi–Manali or Delhi–Shimla overnight stretch if budget is tight. Private cabs cost ₹3,000–₹5,000 more per couple per trip but save hours of discomfort and give you full control. For longer luxury or honeymoon packages, private cab is always the better call.

Are permits required for a Himachal couple trip?

Most Himachal destinations do not require permits for Indian couples. Rohtang Pass requires an online permit (rohtangpermits.nic.in) booked 2–3 days in advance — we arrange this as part of our Manali packages. Spiti Valley’s Inner Line Permit is required only for foreigners; Indian couples travel freely. Shimla has a vehicle entry fee for outstation cars (₹200 one-time). HimTrails handles all permits as part of our couple packages — you don’t need to do anything.

What adventure activities can couples do in Himachal?

Plenty. Tandem paragliding at Solang and Bir Billing, river rafting on the Beas, skiing and snowboarding at Solang (Dec–Mar), ATV rides, zorbing, Triund trek, Hampta Pass trek (for adventurous couples), Chandratal camping, Kheerganga trek (2-day), and trout fishing in Tirthan. Our adventure trail couple packages combine 2–3 activities into the core Shimla–Manali circuit without making it feel like a checklist.

What makes HimTrails different from MakeMyTrip, Thrillophilia, or other big portals?

Three things. First, we’re based in Shimla — so every recommendation comes from someone who actually drives these roads. Second, we’re small enough that you speak directly to the person planning your trip, not a call-centre script. Third, we customise everything — 70% of our couple packages are built from scratch, not picked off a template. Add a 4.9★ rating, 3,973+ happy travellers, and transparent pricing with no hidden surcharges — and you get why couples keep coming back to our Himachal trails year after year.
