We would not push Indrahar into a November plan by default. That does not mean it is legally closed, only that November falls outside the stated best season.

DIFF 2026: A Special Late-October Travel Window

The Dharamshala International Film Festival 2026 will run 29 October–1 November 2026 at the Tibetan Children’s Village in Upper Dharamshala. That places it right at the October–November handover, which can appeal to travellers wanting culture alongside good autumn weather.

District Kangra publishes multiple Delhi–Dharamshala road corridors, including routes via Una and Pathankot. HRTC is the official state bus booking source.

As checked on 19 August 2026, HRTC said Delhi operations were limited and that some services were suspended or restricted because only BS-VI Volvo buses could operate to Delhi under CAQM directions. Transport status is volatile, so check the official booking portal for your actual travel date.

One booking detail worth knowing: HRTC e-tickets can be booked online up to four hours before departure from the route’s originating station, and inside that window, tickets are available only at HRTC counters. Note that the originating station is where the route begins, not necessarily your own boarding stop.

District Kangra lists Gaggal as the nearest airport, 13 km from Dharamshala, and Pathankot as the nearest broad-gauge railway station, about 95 km away.
